We released this week a limited bottling of Haas & Powell™ Illinois straight bourbon whiskey. This is our first release of Haas & Powell™, named after the first and only other distillery in Riverside IL, that burned down in 1870 with a loss of 2000 barrels of aging whiskey! This release of Haas & Powell™ Illinois straight bourbon whiskey is distilled from 60% corn with the balance consisting of 80% malted red wheat and 20% malted oats specially produced for us at Pilot Malt House, then aged two years in small oak barrels. Our first bottling is just 11 cases in 375ml bottles at 45% alcohol by volume, available only at the distillery Speakeasy and Retail Shop.
